Linus and Vanessa Lorenzen recently returned from a ten-day stay in Denmark, where they attended the wedding of Deborah Ann Lorenzen and Peter Lorenzen Petersen. Deborah is the daughter of Niels Lorenzen of Ferndale and Susan Lorenzen of Concord and the niece of Linus Lorenzen. She is also the niece of Marie Boynton and William Lorenzen, both of Ferndale and Arnold Lorenzen of Washington.
Linus stood in for Niels and had the honor of giving the bride away. Deborah is a graduate of Fresno State and is now a Vice President of Bank of New York. The wedding was May 11 and was held at Tinglev Kirke, Tinglev, Denmark followed by a reception in Aabenraa. The bride and groom will make their home in London, and are honeymooning in Cuba.
While in Denmark, Vanessa and Linus were the houseguests of Margit (the sister of the groom) and Kurt Hansen, in Guderup. The Hansens took the Lorenzens and other family members, on a tour. Margit had done a lot of research. They visited the house where Peter Lorenzen, Linus's father, had lived, and many family gravesites. They also saw much of the countryside, castles and historical sites and a local dairy farm owned and operated by Margit's cousins. The following day Linus and Vanessa left Guderup and traveled to Odense for a couple days of sightseeing and then onto Copenhagen before takinq the long flight home.
